How to package fragile items for delivery

Fragile items account for a disproportionate share of delivery claims, and most of it comes down to packaging, not handling.

Use a box that's slightly larger than the item, and fill the gap with padding (bubble wrap, crumpled paper, or foam) so the item can't shift in transit.

Wrap the item itself before placing it in the box - direct contact between the item and the box wall is one of the most common causes of damage.

Mark the parcel as fragile at booking. This flags it for careful handling and, on our tracking page, shows drivers a reminder before delivery.

If the item's declared value is significant, consider adding goods-in-transit insurance at checkout for extra peace of mind.
